Oh goodness! This sweet little girl was so tiny and so snugly. I got quite a few cuddles in between silly faces and sweet baby dreams. This is definitely one of the best parts of my job.
When you hire a newborn photographer, make sure they're well trained in baby safety and posing. While there are some super cute composite poses, not all babies are as flexible or will tolerate a certain position. Your brand new baby should be comfortable, supported and safe the entire session.
I aim to keep both parents and children comfortable during our sessions in my gorgeous studio in Waynesville, Missouri. Mom and dad can watch from within arm's reach on a couch while I carefully position their newest family member on an over sized bean bag or safely in weighted props. Having mom and dad close by is great when I need an extra hand to spot baby or if I need to grab another prop/item not within reach.
Did you have a photographer capture your newborn? If you're expecting and interested in a session I'd love to chat! I aim to book my newborns with a month+ of notice so I can keep my schedule clear. Babies are happiest and sleepiest in the first 10 days of life, and I aim to get my clients in between days 4 and 8 when possible.
