Beth and Todd | River Minis
I am so glad I was able to celebrate baby Jefferson with Beth and Todd one last time before they PCS’d to Kansas. They were literally in the process of moving when we took these photos, so thankfully the weather cooperated and it was a gorgeous evening in Waynesville for us!
Baby Jefferson has a big sister in heaven watching over him- originally I was going to be Madison’s newborn photographer, but she was too sweet for this world. You can read her story on their page, https://www.facebook.com/MadisonsDreamTeam/
This park has a special meaning to the R family, so I wanted to make sure we got a shot that showed not only the river, but also this side of the park. I just love how they look at each other in the photo below. It perfectly captures the feeling when you’re deeply in love with your best friend, and excited to move into the next chapter of your life.
Black and white with a little grain just makes my heart skip so much. I do my best to keep my photographs from being “trendy” or over-editing, but the large grain from medium format film is such a classic look I can’t help but add a little in with my black and white conversions. I hope to buy some more film soon and dust off my good ol’ Pentax K1000 for some personal projects.
Her dress is from Sew Trendy Accessories, and the blue was perfect for this river setting. I don’t purchase a lot of gowns (since I shoot mostly unposed, documentary sessions) but for my mamas that would love some pretty bump photos I do keep a few or offer beautiful rental options with their session fee. This particular dress is not only gorgeous, but its a comfortable knit material and is SUPER flattering on anyone.
